Comment: If you are looking for a book that will show examples and techniques of how to fix electronic devices this is not the best option. It does have some basic information about testing basic components but other than is useless.This book falls short in teaching the fundamental techniques for troubleshooting.

Comment: The title says a little about what's really in the book.
Just another book describing elemenatry electronics rather than troubleshooting it. A lot of jibberish around the real task "troubleshooting", then some quick views of informative how to find the faults (some to quick to follow at my experience level). The real troubleshooting pages could easily fit in a small 50 page notebook or less. When it comes to the real relevant stuff, then it is quickly done and the real juicy bits are left out. I'm new into electronics and must say that I expect more from a book with such a tile. I must say that I really don't know how on earth this book is aimed for. Not a beginner nor a pro.
Best thing about the book is that it's hardcover. Else a lot more should be expected from a book like this, according to its title. Save your money and get another one (or by mine cheap).
