MP3 players, CD players, portable DVD players and even laptops; you use these devices so you can enjoy your music and movies anywhere, anytime - especially in your car. To listen and share tunes while you 're driving, you need the right gear to make the connection. Enjoy full stereo sound from almost any portable audio player by using the Monster RadioPlay Wireless Car Stereo Wireless FM Transmitter.Just plug RadioPlay Wireless into your car's 12v accessory socket and the mini headphone jack into almost any portable audio or DVD player. Tune your car's FM radio to one of the 8 preset stations indicated on RadioPlay's channel selector (choose the station that offers the least interference). Select the same station on RadioPlay, press play on your portable device and your music will transmit wirelessly to your car stereo. The one-touch station selector makes changing stations a breeze (especially when required due to interference caused by terrain or radio station bleed-over).With so many ways to build your MP3 and DVD collections, it would be a shame if you couldn't listen to all of it in your car. Whether your travel by car, boat, or RV, now you can share and enjoy every minute of your music and movies while you drive, with the ease of Monster RadioPlay Wireless.

Customer Rating: Summary: Monster wireless FM transmitter - GREAT! Comment: This item gets great reception even with it being used mostly in a rural area where I get lots of static on radio stations. The only con would be that I have to turn my MP3 player's volume almost all the way up to be able to hear music well through my car's sound system. Great value for the money.
Customer Rating: Summary: APPROACH WITH CAUTION-THIS MAY NOT WORK IF YOU'RE IN A BIG CITY!!!! Comment: i have one of these & where i live (in maine) there is some interference from time to time but nothing major.
i got one for my brother to use his new MP3 player & he couldn't use it at all! because he lives in los angeles & all of these stations are actually broadcasting.
before getting this get in your car and try the stations 88.1-89.5
if most of them are just static, then this thing will work fine.
if most of them are taken by an actual radio station DO NOT BUY THIS.
my brother ended up getting a tape adapter (tape, how quaint) and he said that it works fine.
i will say that it works well for me, but it's not as if it's crystal clear. if you want that you're gonna have to get a head unit with auxiliary input. but this'll do in a pinch. HOWEVER, i wouldn't feel this way if i'd paid full price for mine. i got mine (not on amazon) for insanely cheap & with free shipping. if it'd been $50 i would've felt very differently.
i'm giving it 3 stars because it works and does what it's supposed to do, but in my opinion it's not worth the $50 asking price.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent item Comment: I had previously had a similar item from a different manufacturer. It stopped working so I purchased one of these. I am very pleased with this transmitter. I've had no trouble with it at all. I use it both with my Ipod Nano and also sometimes with my laptop. It works great. One thing I do like is the way you select the FM channel. The previous one I had the channel selector was part of the plug that goes into the lighter. The problem is that on our Honda Odyssey the lighter plug is down near the floor board. Making it very difficult to adjust when stopped and almost impossible when traveling because you couldn't see the display. The Monster unit has the selector as part of the cord. It comes with 8 presets that cover most of the lower range. It's much easier to work with. Overall I'm very pleased with this unit.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works great Comment: My boyfriend wanted to play his ipod shuffle in the car, so I bought this for him as a Christmas gift. It works great! The reviews on this were very good, helping me to decide to choose this item.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good enough- for the money! Comment: I bought this because of the other good reviews and because of the good price. While I do wish it had a digital readout and would scan for open channels, the transmitters that do have those features had poorer reviews and cost quite a bit more. So I decided to play it safe and get the cheaper model with the better reviews. So far I am happy with this item. You do need to pre-program the channels into your radio or else it is very tricky trying to change channels on the transmitter while driving. I do encounter some static at times, but it not too distracting and generally goes away. All in all a great value for this item, especially considering the low cost.
