It also makes it easy to use your GPS in different cars. I have to say that I am extremely satisfied with its performance. The mount is really stable, and doesn't move around on the dash while driving. It also lets you hide the GPS unit when it is not in use. Overall a good buy! My daughter saw it on the dash of my car and said she would like one too. I bought her one for Christmas. It really stays put on the dash no matter how fast you turn a corner or stop. It is so much better than the windshield mount. I would highly suggest this to everyone no matter what kind of car you have. I have a Dodge Durango SUV and a Mustang GT convertible and it works wonderfully in both.
