It holds the GPS securely in place without any damage to the car or having to mount it on anything. It's easy to move while on the dasboard if needed and the tilt feature is great for easy viewing of the GPS screen. It comes apart so I can hide/stow it out of site. It also makes it easy to use your GPS in different cars. I have to say that I am extremely satisfied with its performance. The mount is really stable, and doesn't move around on the dash while driving. My daughter saw it on the dash of my car and said she would like one too. I bought her one for Christmas. It really stays put on the dash no matter how fast you turn a corner or stop. It is so much better than the windshield mount. I would highly suggest this to everyone no matter what kind of car you have.
