Summary: Don't buy RCA/Thompson products
Comment: I purchased this product and it worked for about 6 months. After a lot of time with customer support, they agreed to replace my unit. They knew they had problems with this product, yet continued to sell it. I had to ship it to Thompson, Inc. in El Paso, TX at my expense ($19.00). Then I had to wait "21 business days". When I did not recieve my unit, I had to call them back and was told they were out of stock and they did not know when they would be getting anything in and they would refund me 1/3 of what I purchased for the unit. I am still waiting for my check. I would not recommend anyone purchasing any products from RCA as they do not stand behind their product nor their warranty. I would be surprised if I receive a check, but will count this as a lesson learned. Do not buy RCA products.

Comment: this modle has the best signal and reception it will punch through the steel ceilings in our building where as our old phone would not do this. The only down fall is the paging option is not loud enough and the display is very hard to read (small letters and the back lighting is poor

Comment: Purchased this phone because it was the only DECT 6.0 2 line phone. Very poor product - especially compared with some of the outstanding products Uniden is putting out. Very little customization available and, worst of all, very poor sound quality. Cannot recommend this phone at all.

Summary: Clear voice, overall good quality
Comment: So far so good. I got the base and three additional hand sets. The voice quality is very good; no static at all. The speaker phone is also surprisingly good.
It would be nice to be able to use a hand set to record the outgoing messages on the answering machine. Using the speaker phone, despite the quality, allows more background noise on the messages than I would like.
As a previous reviewer stated, an indicator for provider voice mail would be a nice feature that is lacking.

Summary: Great phone system!
Comment: This is really a great phone system. I did a lot of research in this category of phones, and I took a chance on this as there were no reviews online. This is replacing a Panasonic 2 line phone system, and while Panasonic makes a great phone, their new version has tiny screens on the handsets, so you can't read the caller ID. The RCA not only has very readable screens, but the base also has a larger screen which makes it very easy to see who's calling. The range is great too. I have a big house, and have no trouble with any of the handsets. It even works outside! Menus are very easy to navigate and are very intuitive.
If I had to find a negative, it would be the ringtones. You have 8 choices, but they are all just rings in different pitches and they are ALL annoying sounding. However, that is a small price to pay for a phone that does all the important stuff really well!
